How I can support you mama.

Preparing for postpartum is essential for your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. More often then not, people are preparing so much for their birth, but put very little thought into their postpartum. This is like preparing for a wedding but not the marriage! During our postpartum planning session, we will come up with a tailored plan specific to you and your families unique needs. Partners or support people are also encouraged to attend. We will discuss:

  • What your ideal postpartum looks like and how we will make this happen.

  • What the fourth trimester is and what to expect in the early days.

  • Important nutrients to eat/supplement with now for your rapidly growing baby. Also which nutrients to focus on to make sure that you don’t enter the postpartum period depleted.

  • Nutrient changes for postpartum and what foods are ideal to be consuming more of.

  • How to prepare for breastfeeding and best nourish your breastmilk.

  • Essentials you will need for yourself and your baby (hint: the mama needs more than the baby).

  • Put your village of support in place and set boundaries around family, friends and other visitors.

  • Discuss how you can have a nourished, supported and empowered postpartum.

  • Put a plan in place for your usual day to day tasks so you don’t have to worry about these when the baby comes.

  • Relationship changes, expectations and roles.

  • I can support you in setting up and managing a meal train at an additional charge.

  • During your one off consultation we will go over your health history and current diet to see how we can best nourish your postpartum.

    We will discuss the important nutrients required and how you can get these from food. We will also discuss a personalised supplement protocol to ensure you and your mini (if breastfed) are meeting your high nutrient needs.

    I can give you holistic advice on any postpartum conditions you may be facing, breastfeeding support and any other questions or concerns you may have.
